GOLDEN DRAGON WATER PUPPET THEATRE

The water puppet shows were previously shown in Hanoi only. However, during my recent visit, i learnt from Ms Hang, a friend of my dad, that they have come to HCM too! I was thoroughly excited. Could not wait to see it. Took quite a number of pics, but most of them were disfigured by 2 caucasians =(

Nevertheless, enjoy the folloing pics. I've managed to crop out their heads! I'll post the videos sometime later.

`show's just started. this was the first scene. apparently, the whole show's in vietnamese, so i cant understand a word at all. lol. there were 10 short stories in total.

`boat racing and dancing, anyone?

`cool! a group of men chasing after a turtle on a boat in the upper 2 pics. and there's a fight between a man and a peacock in the lower 2.

`farming, weeding, rice anyone?

` i think i liked this story the best. its something about a few fisherman fighting with a cat? haha, spot the cat climbing the bamboo shoot?
